February often feels like a quiet bridge between seasons — a moment to pause, reset, and care well for what we’ve been entrusted with.
At Great Lakes Clothing & Gown Care, caring for what matters goes beyond the garments we clean. It’s a value that shapes how we serve our customers, how we support our team, and how we engage with our community.
Great Lakes Cares
Each month, through our Great Lakes Cares Blessing Fund, we donate a portion of our work to organizations that are caring for people in meaningful, hands-on ways.
In January, we were grateful to support Sus Manos Gleaners, whose work rescues surplus produce and provides fresh food to families and communities across our region.
In February, our Blessing Fund is supporting the American Heart Association. Heart health touches so many lives — our families, our customers, and our communities — and this is a small way we can come alongside the important work being done to improve care, education, and outcomes.
Your trust in our work makes this kind of giving possible, and we’re deeply grateful.
Fresh Starts & Thoughtful Care
February is also a wonderful time to care for the pieces that quietly support us through winter.
Knits and sweaters, especially the ones we reach for again and again, benefit from thoughtful care even when they don’t look visibly dirty. Body oils, skincare products, and everyday wear all affect fibers over time, and proper cleaning helps these garments maintain their shape and softness.
Winter is also hard on clothing in ways we don’t always see immediately — moisture, road salt, friction from layers, and daily wear all take a toll. Addressing that wear now helps extend the life of winter garments before spring arrives.
And it’s not just clothing. Blankets, comforters, and other household items quietly collect oils, dust, and allergens throughout the season. Caring for them now helps keep your home feeling fresh and prepares them well for storage in the months ahead.
